Well, it was some days ago I shared this mix, but some other stuff came in between the sharing and the blogging about it :).
Recorded in a spirit found in the beauty of a Dawn, Monday morning the 17th of November, I intend this to represent some of the spirit grasped by a crossroads passed - one month after a significant event happened in my life: the concept
'sustainopreneurship' now has a Wikipedia article,
added on World Poverty Day October 17, 2008 - and with that, the research/development stage to this level is really said to be over to spread the definition onwards and upwards. A new stage! Some days after that a conceptual campaign started over at
Facebook Causes - 'Sustainopreneurship 1MillionHits on Google'.
As told
in the story about the publishing over at my blog, the posting of the Wikipedia article was soundtracked by Deadmau5's version of theme from A Clockwork Orange - "Clockwork". This tune is a part of the monthly mix, for sure!
Also, the mix is representing a significant change in the intro. It was time to change the intro by popular demand, and now I feel that the seventh album of Enigma, that was released in September this year, will be my new intro. Actually both this new and the old made a combo intro in the September mix signifying this transition, so from "Turn Around", now I will use Encounters, with the title of the Album embedded - Seven Lives. And yes, Seven Years - let's see. October/November/December 2001 - back then I was in Uganda shuffling around Post 9/11, doing interviews of street kids and their dreams, a story I have told many times in many contexts since then - a central story in my efforts for world improvement.
So here it is, some progressive, deep, including Markus Schulz wonderful remake of Sia's "Buttons". Funkin' it up with Cliff Coenraad's "Modulate", adding onwards in the melodic/uplifting part the amazing remix from First State of Armin van Buuren's "Unforgivable" with the beautiful vocals of Jaren. Some tunes from his A State of Trance 2008 also included, such as Cygnes from Mr. Sam and DJ Tatana's "Spring Breeze". The techier outro is represented by the Norwegian super-talent Orjan Nilsen, with his "Soulflayer". What an amazing production line from Orjan this far! Really keep an eye for Orjan!
The DJ Top 100 has been presented as well, the results of the poll have Armin for the second year in a row on #1, and this year Markus Schulz also entered top ten at #8. Mentioned Deadmau5 is found as a shooting star at #11, so this mix represents a cross-over of the deeply established, together with some new talent worth recognition.
OK, 'nuff talk - enjoy!
Peace,
Anders
